Build support for Senate Bill 789 to stop paying pharmacies below costs of acquiring the medications. This bill would ensure pharmacies can continue to provide essential and life-saving medications and other pharmacy care services to communities in Oklahoma without facing unreasonable and insufficient pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) reimbursement and manipulation. Take action to help us build support for fair reimbursement to local pharmacies by addressing critical issues such as below-cost reimbursement from PBMs, modifying pharmacy auditing requirements, and reforming other perverse tactics imposed by PBMs.
Call for the enactment of Senate Bill 906 to expand the pharmacist to pharmacy technician ratio in community pharmacies. This important bill increasing Oklahoma’s outdated and restrictive pharmacist to pharmacy technician ratio would protect and enhance public access to convenient healthcare services at neighborhood pharmacies. By increasing the number of pharmacy technicians that a pharmacist can supervise, this empowers pharmacists to optimize the pharmacy technician workforce and delegate more administrative and technical activities that do not require a pharmacist’s expertise, which in turn frees up pharmacists to focus more time on delivering clinical patient care and enhances pharmacies’ capacity to meet patient demand for pharmacy services.
