Urge the Senate to Protect Medicaid and CHIP!
Background: On May 22, the House of Representatives passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1), the budget reconciliation bill, to advance President Trump’s domestic policy agenda. The legislation seeks to cut spending on and make changes to the national Medicaid program and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) - critical safety-net programs that cover almost 80 million of the nation’s most vulnerable patients. The bill now heads to the Senate for consideration before any of the provisions become law.
