Recently, the Public Policy & Government Affairs Department was invited to speak at the 988 Regional Convening held in Sunny Isles, FL on Tuesday, February 25. The session covered best practices for working collaboratively with state stakeholders to ensure the crisis continuum could support individuals who may be in crisis.  A history of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988 Lifeline) was shared, including the transition from the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to the 988 Lifeline. During the breakout, attendees were asked to think of non-traditional stakeholders who would be interested in a strong crisis continuum, as mental well-being is a topic that impacts everyone.

The Public Policy & Government Affairs Departments thanks the 988 Network Engagement Department for the opportunity to participate in the convening.
