U.S. Representative Don Beyer (D-VA) led a bipartisan letter in support of $613 million for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988 Lifeline). The letter, signed by a bipartisan group of 48 U.S. Representatives, is addressed to the House Appropriations Subcommittee with jurisdiction over federal health programs. In addition to funding support for the 988 Lifeline, the letter also expresses support for other suicide prevention programs within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
