We are deeply concerned by the mass layoffs and shuttering of key health agencies, especially the CDC Arthritis Program – the only federal program dedicated to helping people with arthritis. The CDC Arthritis Program has provided essential tools to help people better manage their symptoms, stay active, and ultimately improve their health outcomes. It supported state and local organizations, offered proven self-management program support, and collected vital data used by researchers, doctors, and policymakers nationwide. It is a serious setback for the millions living with arthritis.
We must act NOW. Urge your Congressional members to contact HHS Secretary Kennedy and ask how he will prioritize critical programs for chronic diseases like arthritis. Take action now to urge lawmakers to protect funding for health agencies, restore critical programs, and ensure that those living with arthritis continue to receive the support they need.
