CHAIR ROLE:
KEY ACTIVITIES
• Attend quarterly national All-Chair meet up calls to hear advocacy updates and collaborate with other State Advocacy Committee Chairs
Assist the Advocacy team in monitoring and addressing barriers to access and treatment in your state.
• Cascade opportunities and updates from national advocacy team to state advocacy committee.
• Lead periodic State Advocacy Committee virtual meetings to share updates, brainstorm with members, and develop committee plans.
• Set committee goals and create deadlines to meet these goals
• Strengthen the Arthritis Foundation’s relationship with policymakers in your state through personal outreach and legislative meetings.
COMMITTEE MEMBER:
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Attend committee meetings either virtually or in person set by the Advocacy Chair.
- Assist the State Advocacy team in monitoring and addressing barriers to access and treatment in your state.
- Participate in advocacy efforts on the state level by responding to Action Alerts, State Lobby Days, and continuously pushing legislation to lawmakers.
