The IADA Nominating Committee has made recommendations and this information will be forwarded to members in Districts 3, 4, 9 and 10. Attached is a list of IADA Board members and their respective Districts and areas they represent in the state.

Any dealer may make additional nominations, in writing, provided that the nominee has the written support of at least 5 dealer-members from their respective district.

The Secretary of State has started sending the next generation of TRP forms to dealers. Dealers may not use the new TRPs until November 4th, when SOS will transition to the new TRP system.  When you receive your initial batch of the new TRPs, SOS strongly advises that you lock them in a secure area until the November 4 transition. When the new TRP system goes live on November 4th, you can accept the new TRPs for processing. For subsequent TRP orders, you must put them into your system as accounted for within 48 hours of receipt.

Legal Reminder Federal Odometer Exemption Changes Take effect in 2021
Starting on January 1, 2021, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's new odometer rule (See October 17, 2019 IADA Bulletin) will extend the period that vehicles will be subject to federal odometer requirements. NHTSA's current odometer rule provides that vehicles that are at least 10 model years old are exempt from odometer mileage disclosure. Under NHTSA's revised rule, vehicles manufactured during or after the 2011 model year will not become exempt from odometer mileage disclosure until they are at least 20 model years old.  Additional information from the National Traffic Highway Safety Administration can be found here. If you use a Power of Attorney to disclose mileage, the red and white secure power of attorney must be used to disclose mileage for all non-exempt vehicles.

Small Business Loans of $50,000 or Less
The U.S. Small Business Administration, in consultation with the Treasury Department, today released a simpler loan forgiveness application for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans of $50,000 or less. This action streamlines the PPP forgiveness process to provide financial and administrative relief to America's smallest businesses while also ensuring sound stewardship of taxpayer dollars.

SBA and Treasury have also eased the burden on PPP lenders, allowing lenders to process forgiveness applications more swiftly.

SBA began approving PPP forgiveness applications and remitting forgiveness payments to PPP lenders for PPP borrowers on October 2, 2020.  SBA will continue to process all PPP forgiveness applications in an expeditious manner.
