Promote Access To Accessible and Affordable Housing For Individuals With Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)

Many individuals with disabilities, including those living with SMA, struggle to find accessible housing that they can afford. While there are public accessible housing programs, there is often insufficient supply of rental vouchers. Working adults with SMA and other disabilities may also fall into an accessible housing hole where they earn slightly above the income level, making them ineligible for a voucher, but not enough to afford accessible housing options in their community, which are often in newer, more expensive buildings. These housing challenges result in adults with SMA and other disabilities delaying their ability to live independently.

Tell Congress to promote access to accessible, safe, and affordable housing for individuals with SMA.
