Support New SMA Research at the National Institutes of Health

Despite the availability of disease-modifying SMA treatments, individuals with SMA continue to face everyday challenges such as muscle weakness, fatigue, severe scoliosis, and joint contractures. The SMA community is united in seeking additional treatments to help address the significant unmet need that exists across all ages and disease stages of SMA.

Past research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has led to existing SMA discoveries. It is critical that NIH continues its research and investments in SMA to meet the needs of children and adults with SMA.

Tell Congress to support the needs of the SMA community by continuing SMA research at the NIH.
